Description
Registered Nurse – Medical Unit (Night Shift)
Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Night shift position on a medical unit with a 13-week contract.
- Scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first full week of orientation.
- Must be flexible to work various shift lengths and days; no guarantee of hours or shift preference.
- May float to other units including Laulima Unit and Cardiovascular Unit.
- Unit uses Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6 during day and evening shifts, 1:8 at night.
- Professional nursing attire required.
- Orientation provided for each unit.
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for employee health appointment on Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Hawaii
- Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
Additional Information
- Employee health clearance appointment includes flu vaccination if needed.
