    Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse

    Location: Santa Monica, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Description

    • Acute Care Hospital setting with 266 staffed beds, located beachside.
    • Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM).
    • Call requirements vary by department and must be flexible:
      • 2 primary weekday calls (10:30 PM - 6:00 AM) per 6-week call cycle
      • 2 secondary weekday calls (10:30 PM - 6:00 AM) per 6-week call cycle
      • 2 primary weekend calls (12-hour shifts, either 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:00 AM) on Saturday or Sunday
      • 2 secondary weekend calls (12-hour shifts, same times as above) on Saturday or Sunday
    • On-call is required.
    • First-time travelers are not accepted.
    • Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period.
    • Charting system: Epic.
    • Scrub color for RNs: Navy Blue.

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid RN license in California.
    • Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience, with CVOR experience within the last year.
    • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
    • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
    • Experience in a Long Term Care setting.

    Certifications (as applicable)

    • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification only.
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification only.
    • Other certifications (PALS, NRP, Chemotherapy, EFM, IV Certification, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification) may be required based on unit and specialty; verify with clinical track.

    Additional Requirements

    • Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years.
    • Employment application covering at least the last 5 years of employment with month/year format for dates.
    • Skills checklist updated annually as applicable.
    • Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via the employer’s LMS system.
    • Photo for badge with neutral background required.
    • Must comply with float policy; may be required to float to other nearby facilities.

    Facility & Work Environment

    • Acute care hospital with a beachside location.
    • Parking available with associated costs.
    • Epic electronic health record system used for charting.

    Notes

    • Pending licenses are not accepted.
    • Return to office (RTO) restrictions must be included at time of submission.
    • Prior travel experience is required (first-time travelers not accepted).
    • Flexibility in call schedule and block scheduling is at manager discretion.
