Registered Nurse - ICU (Cardiac)

Unit Information
- Cardiac ICU with 16 beds
- Staff includes 1 CNC/Charge RN, 8 RNs, and 1 PCT per shift (day and night)
- Patient ratio: 1 RN to 2 patients
- Equipment used: Cardiac monitoring, ventilators, IV pumps, tube feed pumps, Swan Ganz catheters
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts (day shift 5A-5P)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) experience within the last year
- Current certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with neuro and medical ICU populations
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
