Ultrasound Tech - General (Travel/Contract)
Location: Morehead City, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 40
Job Summary
Seeking an Ultrasound Tech with specialty in Radiology / Cardiology for a travel contract position. The role requires floating within the scope of practice as needed. Locals are not allowed; candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility. First-time travelers are not accepted.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ultrasound Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) certification
- Certified Breast Sonographer
Additional Information
- Start date: ASAP
- Block scheduling may be discussed during interview
- Floating within scope of practice may be required
- Candidates must provide a valid driver’s license or state ID confirming residence outside the 50-mile radius
- Prior travel experience is required (first-time travelers not accepted)
Compliance & Training
- Facility-specific training modules will be provided before start and must be completed prior to starting work
- Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable
- NIH Stroke Certification preferred but not required for this role
This position is ideal for experienced Ultrasound Technologists with required certifications and prior travel contract experience seeking a 13-week travel assignment on a 4x10 day shift schedule.
