Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift

Location: Beloit, Wisconsin

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to provide patient care in a fast-paced ER setting. The role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, administering medications and treatments, performing patient assessments, and developing individualized care plans. The RN will also participate in performance improvement activities and support patient safety and experience through critical thinking and appropriate escalation.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with ED experience within the last year
• Current certifications (all must be AHA Provider Level):

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by American Heart Association
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS)

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing standards and state laws
• Document care in compliance with standards of practice
• Develop and execute individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care continuity
• Participate in unit performance improvement, shared governance, and peer review processes
• Apply clinical expertise to guide other units/departments as needed
• Use critical thinking to ensure patient safety and escalate concerns appropriately

• May be required to work at a secondary Emergency Department location within the region
• Night shift schedule only
