• Shift: Day shift, Tuesday through Saturday
• Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (5 days a week, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week)

Job Description

• Acute Care Physical Therapist role in an acute care hospital setting
• Responsibilities include:

  • Acute care therapy interventions
  • Home exercise programs
  • Lifting and transfer techniques
  • Patient and family education
  • Care in ER, ICU, geriatrics, medical-surgical, orthopedics
  • Range of motion therapies (AROM/AAROM/PROM)
  • Use of assistive devices and body mechanics
  • Pain assessment and skin integrity monitoring
  • Strength testing and vital signs monitoring
  • Patient evaluation, plan of care, reassessments, and discharge planning
  • Short term goal setting
  • Gait training and use of equipment such as crutches, gait belts, hospital beds, standard walkers, supplemental oxygen
  • Care for patients with COPD, CHF, CABG, MI, hip and knee injuries, total hip and knee replacements, and post-stroke rehabilitation

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in California
• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
