    Registered Nurse – MS/Telemetry Unit (Travel/Contract)

    Location: Chewelah, Washington
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Details

    • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    • Shift: Night (3x12 hours, 7 PM – 7 AM) or Day (3x12 hours, 7 AM – 7 PM)
    • Hours per Week: 36
    • Patient Ratio: 1:5
    • Floating: RN will float between two hospital locations depending on census
    • Weekends: Required minimum every other weekend
    • On-call: Not required
    • Block schedules: Not required
    • Facility Type: Critical Access
    • Total Beds: 23
    • Charting System: Epic

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
    • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
    • Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience within the last year

    Experience & Travel Requirements

    • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
    • Must be able to float between hospital units as needed

    Background & Screening Requirements

    • Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually
    • State-specific searches including Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) within 90 days of start
    • Education verification required for nursing degree
    • Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
    • Respiratory safety clearance required annually for respirator use (travel only)
    • Immunizations and health screenings:
      • TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
      • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination
      • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
      • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
      • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
      • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)

    Additional Requirements

    • Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required
    • Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
    • Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
    • Float policy acknowledgement required due to floating between facilities
    • WA Multi-State Licensed Nurses Demographic Attestation required if working with out-of-state compact license

    Work Environment & Expectations

    • Critical access hospital with 23 beds
    • Use of Epic electronic health record system
    • Floating between two hospital locations within reasonable distance
    • Manager schedules day/night rotations fairly for travelers
    • No 48-hour shifts approved
