Description
Emergency Department RN Nights
Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: Nights (7 PM – 7 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Summary
- Provide direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in the Emergency Department.
- Assess patients upon admission, including medical history, vital signs, lab work, x-rays, and other diagnostics.
- Participate in planning and implementing written care plans under physician direction.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Hampshire
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
- Emergency Department experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
Essential Job Functions
- Perform standard patient assessments using basic equipment.
- Administer medications requiring good visual acuity and hand-eye coordination.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ensure patient safety by meeting job standards.
- Interact positively with team members and patients, respecting patient culture, lifestyle, religion, and age.
- Accept constructive criticism and manage emotional responses professionally.
Additional Information
- Up to 16 hours of orientation provided; orientation hours are unpaid.
- Employer reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract.
