Location: Portland, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Shift: Day shift, 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (12:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes, Sunday through Wednesday (12:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
  • On-Call: Yes, one week of standby call during the contract
  • Block Scheduling: Required
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1
  • Floating: No floating between units
  • Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care
  • Total Staffed Beds: 418
  • Charting System: Epic (experience required)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Oregon
  • Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience
  • CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • Experience in an Acute Care setting
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • Background Checks:
    • Must have a background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years
    • Background check must include SSN trace, death master index, nationwide sex offender, FACIS Level 3, education verification, and motor vehicle record if applicable
    • No open/active background hits or multiple DUIs allowed
  • Education Verification:
    • Required for all candidates; international education requires additional documentation
  • Drug Testing:
    • 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start date (instant tests acceptable)
  • Health Requirements:
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
    • Immunizations/vaccinations including:
      • TDAP (within 10 years or declination accepted)
      • MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer)
      • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
      • Hepatitis B (vaccination series or signed declination)
      • Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
    • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
    • Respiratory safety clearance required annually for respirator use
    • Fit mask testing required annually (on-site testing available if needed)
  • Competency Exams:
    • Medication test/pharmacology competency as applicable
    • Other competency exams as required by specialty/unit
  • Skills Checklist:
    • Must be updated annually for applicable units

Additional Requirements

  • Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required
  • Float Policy: Acknowledgement required; may be required to float to other nearby facilities
  • Work History:
    • Employment application covering at least last 5 years (7 years for APN/subcontractors)
    • Clarification required for any gaps or overlaps in employment
  • References: Must align with booked specialty and cover required timeframes
  • Annual Training:
    • Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS required
    • Return candidates with less than a year gap may be exempt from redoing modules

Important Notes

  • 48-hour shifts are not approved for this position.
  • Parking is free at the facility.
  • Scrub color is flexible except for specific units (not applicable here).
  • Candidates must be prepared for one week of standby on-call during the contract.

This position is ideal for CT Technologists with acute care and travel experience who are comfortable working block schedules and weekend shifts, and who have strong Epic EHR skills.
