Travel RN - Med Surg (Missouri, Kirksville)
Job Details
- Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg
- Location: Kirksville, Missouri
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM), weekends required
- Hours per week: 36
- Call: Call required, no standing call; may be placed on call up to 48 hours per contract
- Floating: Required, primarily to med-surg unit; may float to other units within competencies
- Patient Assignment: Up to 10 inpatient rehab (Swing) patients; may absorb med-surg patients if swing volume drops
- Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 10 swing patients
- EMR System: MedHost
- Uniform: Any solid color scrub
Role Summary
- Provide nursing care for inpatient rehab (Swing) patients who require less nurse-intensive care than traditional med-surg patients
- Support med-surg patients as needed when swing bed volume is low
- Floating to other units for task assignments within existing competencies
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience within the last year
- Experience in a Rehabilitation setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Additional Information
- 48-hour weekly guarantees may be accommodated (must be requested in submission)
- Blocked scheduling requests may be accommodated (must be requested in submission)
- No week on/week off scheduling
