Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Night Shift)
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Night (4 shifts of 12 hours each, 18:30 to 7:00)
- Hours per week: 48 (36 or 48 hour options; overtime applies over 48 hours)
- Unit size: 32 beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
- No call required
- Floating to similar units may be required
- Weekend shifts: 6 weekend shifts within 6 weeks
- Charting system: Epic
- Rapid response team activation involved
- Unit accepts first-time travel nurses
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Orientation includes fingerprinting and EPIC training; clearance required before working on unit
- Medical and religious flu exemptions require accompanying documentation and approval
- References are not required for clearance but internal professional references may be requested
- Employment application and resume must be completed
- No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers accepted
