Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Post Partum/Mom Baby

Location

• Richmond, Virginia
• Unit: Maternal Infant Unit
• Unit Details:

  • 24 beds
  • 71 staff members
  • Located on 3rd floor, Atrium building
• Patient Ratios:

  • Labor: 1:1 (most of the time)
  • Post-partum: 5-6:1
  • Nursery: 5-6:1
• Equipment: GE fetal monitors
• EMR System: Meditech, CPN

Employment Type

• Travel contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Hours per week: 36

Work Schedule

• Every third weekend required
• 12 hours of on-call per 4-week schedule

Typical Procedures

• Vaginal deliveries
• C-sections
• Antepartum patient care
• Newborn and post-partum care

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Labor and Delivery experience
• Post Partum experience (2 years of experience)
• Post Partum experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years labor experience specifically in LDRP units with high birth volumes

Dress Code

• Navy blue scrubs
• Pink badges for infant security
