Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ER)

Location

• Show Low, Arizona
• Regional hospital in the White Mountains area
• Close to Flagstaff and Phoenix

Position Details

• Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse
• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit & Patient Care

• Level IV Trauma Center
• 30 ER rooms, all private, including a 6-room Emergency Department Observation Unit (EDOU)
• 6 fast track beds staffed with a Physician Assistant for minor, non-urgent cases
• 1 seclusion room plus 5 additional monitored rooms
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3 or 1:4
• Average patient volume: ~100 patients per day
• Common patient types: trauma, cardiac, neurological, and general ER cases

Technology & Systems

• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Allscripts - Sunrise
• Medication dispensing system: Omnicell

Required Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN license or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Certifications required:

  • ACLS (American Heart Association)
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • PALS (American Heart Association)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Additional Information

• Scrub color: any except all black
• Scrubs not provided
• Night shifts are 12 hours long
• Support staff includes 5 techs during peak hours
