Registered Nurse - ICU (Travel/Contract)

Location: Los Banos, California
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 19:00 - 7:30)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• ICU nursing position with weekend shifts included in rotation.
• Local base rate differs from standard rates.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Additional Requirements

• Unit-specific skills checklist required, renewed annually.
• EKG competency exam and medication/pharmacology competency exams may be required.
• ICU RNs at certain locations may be required to take an onsite EKG exam after start.
• Various facility-specific documents must be reviewed and signed prior to start, including:

  • Job description acknowledgment
  • Standards of business conduct
  • Code of conduct
  • Overpayment refund policy
  • Regulatory orientation
• TB screening questionnaire must be completed and signed by candidate and healthcare provider within 90 days of start.
• Candidates requesting religious exemptions for vaccines or facial hair must complete specific exemption forms and obtain approval.
