Cath Lab Tech

Location

  • Louisville, Kentucky

Job Summary

  • Assist in preparing patients for cath lab procedures.
  • Scrub procedures and monitor/record hemodynamic pressures.
  • Utilize invasive cardiology processes to prepare procedure room and patient.
  • Address health educational needs for patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Manage patient care assignments and unit operations.
  • Apply knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions.
  • Demonstrate professional development and clinical competency.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year.
  • Experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Certification in one of the following: RCIS, ARRT(VI), or RTRCI.
  • Knowledge and experience with invasive cardiology processes.

Education

  • Preferred: High School diploma or GED

Work Schedule

  • Rotating schedule:
    • Week 1: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
    • Week 2: Monday to Friday, Call Coverage (3:30 PM – 7:00 AM) plus Saturday and Sunday 24-hour coverage

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks
