Description
Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract
Location: Santa Monica, California
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital (beachside)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in a STEMI and Stroke receiving center with 4 cath labs.
- Support multiple specialties including cardiac, electrophysiology (EP), venous thromboembolism (VTE) thrombectomy, interventional neuro, interventional radiology (IR), TAVR/TMVR, Watchman, MitraClip, diagnostic and interventional cardiology, and diagnostic and interventional neuro.
- Float between specialties within the cath lab as needed.
- Schedule: Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
- On-call required:
- Weekdays: 5:30 PM - 7:00 AM
- Weekends/Holidays: 24-hour coverage
- Approximately 10-14 call shifts within a 42-day schedule.
- Facility may call off once per two-week pay period.
- Charting system: Epic.
- Scrub color: Navy Blue for RNs; provided for L&D/OR/Cath Lab staff.
- Parking available with associated costs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in California
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab Technologist experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification
- Fluoroscopy Permit
- Experience with stroke cases
- Experience in interventional radiology (IR)
Additional Information
- Start date: ASAP.
- Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager’s discretion.
- Total staffed beds: 266.
Note: Experience with electrophysiology or structural heart procedures is not required; stroke and interventional radiology experience is preferred.
