Description
Registered Nurse (Telemetry) - Travel Position
Location: Manchester, New Hampshire
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Job Overview
- Work on a 47-bed telemetry unit with a patient ratio typically 1:5, stretching to 1:6 as needed.
- Unit includes semi-private and private rooms.
- Equipment used: Pyxis, Alaris Pumps, Bladder Scanners, EKGs, Atrium Chest Tubes, Dinamaps, Vein Finder.
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech Expanse.
- Shift times:
- Day: 06:45 – 19:15
- Night: 18:45 – 07:15
Patient Population & Conditions
- Vascular surgery
- Bariatric surgery
- General surgery
- Telemetry patients with arrhythmias
- Peripheral vascular disease
- Sepsis
- Atherosclerosis
- GI bleeds
- Chest tubes management
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire.
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, including telemetry experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current BLS certification.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with surgical bariatrics, cardiac care, vascular surgery, and wound vac/dressing changes.
Work Environment & Expectations
- Team-oriented, hardworking, flexible, and able to multitask.
- May float to similar med-surg units or other hospital areas such as PCU or ED if patient overflow occurs, caring for similar patient types.
