Description
Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location
- City: Bel Air, Maryland
Employment Type
- Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Night shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (19:00 - 07:30)
- Rotating block schedule with weekend and holiday shifts required as scheduled
- No on-call required
- Floating within specialty and to a sister location may be required based on department needs
Required Licenses and Certifications
- Maryland state license for Radiology/Cardiology specialty
- ARRT certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
Required Experience
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum standard for CT Tech in specialty (verify with recruiter)
Required Documentation and Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- I9 Attestation and E-Verify compliance
- Background checks including 7-year criminal search, SSN trace, nationwide and sex offender checks, education verification, and state-specific exclusions (Maryland Medicaid Sanctioned Providers List)
- Negative drug screen (9 or 10 panel) within 30-45 days prior to start; instant tests not accepted
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for certain units)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (positive titer or vaccination proof)
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or declination accepted)
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct-Mar)
- COVID vaccine not required but documentation collected for tracking
Required Competencies and Exams
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (score ≥80%)
- Color blindness testing
- Specialty-specific competency exams as applicable
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (required for Cath Lab Techs, not NICU)
- Age-specific competency exam
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Confidentiality agreement signed prior to start
- Badge photo (passport style with solid white/beige background)
- Compliance with appearance standards, dress code, fingernail hygiene, and parking policies
- Completion of OSHA questionnaire
- Review and sign unit-specific job description
- Completion of self-learning program prior to start
- Security ID application within 72 hours of contract signing
- Portfolio Epic training test-out form completion if applicable
References and Work History
- Two professional references within 1 year prior to start, including at least one supervisor/manager reference
- Verification of previous 5 years of employment history (attestation accepted if necessary)
- Agency application/resume completed within 30 days of start
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Maryland
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
