CT Tech - Radiology (Travel Position)

Location: Atlantis, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

• Unit: CT Tech at a 24-bed acute care medical/surgical facility
• Staff: 14 total (including Radiologists, Radiologist Techs, Ultrasound Techs, MRI Techs, CT Techs)
• Shifts:

  • Day Shift: Director, Radiologist, 6-7 Techs
  • Night Shift: Charge RN, On-call team, 3-4 Techs (varies by volume)
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 depending on patient stability
• Equipment: All GE equipment including MRI units, scanners, cameras, x-ray, fluoroscopy
• EMR System: Meditech
• Call Requirements: 4-6 shifts per month on off days

Typical Procedures

• CT Scans
• MRI
• Body scanning
• X-Rays
• Creating detailed images of bones, organs, and tissues for assessment

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Florida
• ARRT Certification in CT
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• HHCCA - De-escalation Skills in Healthcare Setting
• Successful completion of an assessment to evaluate CT Technologist skills and knowledge or demonstrated understanding and management of hazardous drug risks according to USP 800 standards
