Description
Registered Nurse (CVICU/CCU) - Contract
Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), including weekend rotation
- Must participate in call rotation: 1 call shift every 2 weeks as needed in place of guaranteed hours
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) with coverage in Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
- Work includes supporting two Cath Labs, one of which is a Hybrid Cath Lab
- Opportunity to work in a smaller, community-focused hospital setting
- Aim to keep patients local while providing critical care
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Minimum 3 years of CVICU experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Additional Information
- Housing available: newly remodeled furnished studio and one-bedroom apartments near the hospital (utilities, Wi-Fi, laundry included) available to travelers based on availability
- Weekly hours: approximately 36 hours
- Call rotation replaces guaranteed hours when requested due to staffing needs
Notes for Agencies
- Submit resume, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, and documentation of CVICU skills
- Ensure correct Social Security number and date of birth to avoid onboarding delays
- Out-of-state agencies must register appropriately for Colorado CAPS system compliance
