Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery/LDRP

Location: Grand Rapids, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Travel contract at a Women's Health and Birth Center in a small hospital setting
• Rotating shifts including days, nights, weekdays, and weekends
• Average 25-33 births per month
• Facility has 6 birthing suites and 4 postpartum/surgical rooms (total 10 rooms)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1 nurse per labor patient; postpartum ratio up to 1 nurse for 2-3 moms and babies
• Collaboration with OB/GYNs and Family Practice MDs for deliveries
• Lactation consultant available 3 days per week
• Minimal high-risk births; most high-risk cases transferred to a larger center
• No circulating on C-sections; assist with baby only
• Night shift primarily, with some day coverage and call; scheduled 3 out of 4 weekends

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in Minnesota
• Minimum 1 year full-time Labor & Delivery/LDRP experience (higher experience requirement applies)
• Minimum 1 year MedSurg experience
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Completion of Fetal Heart Monitoring course preferred

Additional Information

• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring skills required
• Ability to float to MedSurg to assist if needed (not mandatory)
• 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week
