Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) Circulator

Location

• Cape Girardeau, Missouri

Job Type

• Travel assignment
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts (10-hour shifts)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Limit of 3 Fridays or Mondays off in a 6-week schedule
• Rotating weekend call approximately every 6-7 days
• Scheduled late shifts (not call but may stay late if needed)

Unit and Patient Population

• Operating Room (OR) - General Surgery and Neuro Surgery focus
• Surgical patients including Neuro, Urology, Gynecology, and Orthopedic cases
• Use of specialized equipment: DaVinci Xi robot, Hana Table, Arthrex tower, Beach Chair positioning

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) circulating experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience in Neurology, Urology, and Orthopedic Surgery
• American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (Multi State Certification) (ABCP)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Role Summary

• Provide perioperative patient care as a circulating nurse
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care during surgery
• Act as patient advocate throughout the perioperative process

Work Environment and Dress Code

• Scrubs provided by hospital; black scrubs required in the OR
• No attire other than black scrubs permitted
