Location: Apple Valley, California

Job Description
- Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
- Shift: 12-hour variable shifts, Sunday through Saturday
- Typical shift times include:
- 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM with on-call 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- 9:30 AM – 10:00 PM
- 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM with on-call 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- On-call requirements include weekend and holiday coverage with estimated 70-90 hours of call in a 6-week period
- Guaranteed hours with facility able to call off once per two-week pay period
- Local candidates within 50 miles radius are considered

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience & References
- References: Minimum of 2 references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- Employment Application: Must include at least the last 5 years of employment with month/year format for dates
- Work History Verification may be required if reference requirements are not met
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work with or without accommodation
- Immunizations and screenings required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer (declination accepted)
- Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
- Drug Screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant tests acceptable)
- Respiratory Safety Clearance required annually for respirator use (travel only)
- Fit Mask testing required for travel candidates, updated annually
Background & Compliance
- Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- Additional checks: EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education Verification required for nursing degree
- NURSYS license verification required for all RNs
- State-specific searches and attestations as applicable (e.g., Washington, Oregon)
- Photo for badge required (passport style with neutral background)
Training & Competencies
- Completion of Epic training modules required prior to or shortly after start
- Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific Workramp modules required
- Medication and competency exams as applicable to specialty/unit
- Skills checklist updated annually

- Float Policy: May be required to float to other facilities within reasonable distance
