Unit Information
- Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
- Number of beds: 17
- Staff: 56 total
- Day shift staffing: 1 Charge, 5-6 RNs, 1 OB Scrub Tech
- Night shift staffing: 1 Charge, 5-6 RNs, 1 OB Scrub Tech
- Patient ratios: Typically 1:1 to 1:3, may fluctuate with acuity
- Equipment used: Electronic Fetal Monitor (TOCCO, Ultrasound), Doppler, Novii
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Meditech, CPN
Typical Procedures
- Surgical tech duties in the Operating Room (OR)
- Cleaning after vaginal deliveries
Required Qualifications
- Valid Certified Surgical Technologist license in Colorado
- Certified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
- Current BLS certification
- Certification as CST or NBSTSA
- Current DORA certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Meditech EMR
- Prior OB Scrub Tech travel experience
