Registered Nurse - Bone Marrow Transplant Oncology
Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Infusion – 3B
- Beds: 55 beds, 176 chairs
- Staff: 86 core staff
- Shift Options:
- Day: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (4 shifts of 10 hours) or 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3 shifts of 12 hours)
- Night shifts not available
- Weekends/Holidays: May be required based on staffing needs
- Patient Ratios: Variable depending on acuity and volume
- Equipment: Baxter infusion pumps
- EMR Systems: Meditech and OncoEMR
Job Description
- Provide outpatient infusion care for transplant and oncology patients, including support for transplant cellular therapy and liver/renal transplant programs.
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, lymphodepleting chemotherapy, blood products, antibiotics, IVIG, and IV fluids.
- Perform Granix and Mozobil injections for transplant/cellular therapy collections.
- Provide oversight for cellular procedures after required training.
- Support outpatient CAR T infusions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of Bone Marrow Transplant experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Certification (ONS/ONCC)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
