Job Opportunity: Home Health Registered Nurse
Location: San Diego, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (Home Health)
- Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Total Hours per Week: 40
- Weekend work: Yes (to be confirmed during interview)
- Schedule specifics: To be confirmed during interview
- Mileage reimbursement between patients at IRS standard rates
- Hours guaranteed if 25 or more patient visits are completed weekly (25 visits = 40 hours)
- COVID vaccination proof or medical/religious exemption required prior to start
- Accepting candidates with pending California RN license if application has been submitted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of Home Health nursing experience within the last year
- Experience working with geriatric patients in a Home Health setting
- Experience with OASIS (Outcome and Assessment Information Set)
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Background checks including 7-year location history, nationwide sex offender check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG (all required annually)
- Employment application and 2 professional references required
- Skills checklist required annually
- Photo for badge (passport style, shoulders up, front facing, plain background)
- Personal or auto insurance and auto registration documentation required and must be kept current during assignment
- Training content and hand hygiene policy acknowledgments must be reviewed and signed prior to start
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable (minimum passing score 80% or meet Angoff score)
- State license primary source verification and NURSYS verification required

- COVID exemptions permitted
- Rate may vary based on coverage territory and experience (not disclosed here)
- Travelers must have applied for California RN license upon submission if not currently licensed
