CT Technologist - Contract Position

Location: Moses Lake, Washington
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evenings (1000-2230), Friday-Sunday with on-call every Thursday night and every 8 weekends
Hours per Week: 36

Job Summary

Perform Computed Tomography (CT) exams with and without power contrast injections, ensuring proper technical factors, positioning, patient safety, and documentation. Provide support to radiologists and mentor radiology students while maintaining professional growth and adhering to safety and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize automatic exposure control and adjust technical factors (kvp, ma, time, distance) accurately.
• Select appropriate cassettes, collimation, and tomographic factors.
• Perform CT exams following radiologist protocols and sterile techniques.
• Operate gantry angle mechanism and adjust table height for proper positioning.
• Safely transport, transfer, and position patients; evaluate mental and physical condition to prevent hazards.
• Document patient and image information accurately in HIS/RIS and PACS systems.
• Administer contrast media and proficiently start IVs.
• Participate in on-call standby shifts as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Mentor students from affiliated Radiology Technology Programs.
• Maintain professional development through seminars and workshops.
• Follow safe work practices including infection control, equipment safety, and emergency procedures.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Washington.
• ARRT certification in CT (ARRT (CT)).
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year.
