CT Technologist (Contract) - Illinois, Metropolis

• Shift: 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday
• Hours per Week: 37
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform radiographic procedures as prescribed by physicians, including selecting appropriate voltage, current, and exposure time.
• Access patient condition prior to administering contrast media or performing radiography.
• Position patients correctly and instruct them on physiological requirements for procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media intravenously or through other body cavities.
• Ensure all required consent forms are signed before procedures.
• Document exam completion and relevant patient information in charts.
• Participate in quality assurance monitoring and outcome recording.
• Operate portable radiographic equipment across various hospital units including medical/surgical, cardiac care, recovery, and emergency rooms.
• Manage control desk and perform PACS duties, ensuring accurate operation and image transmission.
• Teach radiography technology students about procedures, equipment operation, anatomy, and professional responsibilities.
• Assist with patient transport to and from imaging departments.

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS/BCLS (Basic Life Support/Basic Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Illinois
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience
• Recent CT Technologist experience within the last year
