CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) - Night Shift

Location

• Papillion, Nebraska

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• Monday to Thursday, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM (10-hour shifts)
• No weekends or call required
• Possible work on Christmas holiday

Department & Work Environment

• Radiology - CT (Computed Tomography) and general X-ray (mostly portable X-rays)
• Department has 2 scanners/rooms
• Must be able to work alone during night shift
• Average 10-20 scans/studies per day across CT and X-ray modalities
• No radiologist on-site; no Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs)
• No IV starts required (done by nurses in ED)
• Nightly duties include code cart checks and quality control tasks
• Orientation provided by lead or overnight tech
• Gray scrubs required but not provided

Equipment & Software

• CT scanner: Siemens
• Portable X-ray: GE
• EMR/PACS systems: EPIC, Merge, McKesson (transitioning), RealRads (outside reading)

Requirements

• Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT)
• Registered Technologist (RT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
• Valid driver’s license required at submittal (used to verify candidate is within 50-mile radius)
• Must not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with certain healthcare systems within 50 miles
• Artificial nails prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to comply may result in contract termination

Additional Notes

• This is a single-person night shift covering both CT and general X-ray modalities
• No call or standby required unless voluntarily picked up
