Job Opportunity: Echo Tech Cardiac Sonographer Pediatrics

Shift Details
- Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 4 shifts of 10 hours each (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Weekend work: As needed
- On-call required: Yes, Monday night through Friday morning (5:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week; facility may call off up to 6 times during the 13-week assignment
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric echocardiography experience
- Pediatric echocardiography experience within the last year
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification

Job Responsibilities and Requirements
- Perform pediatric echocardiograms using extensive pediatric protocols covering Subxiphoid, Parasternal, Suprasternal, Right Parasternal, and Apical views
- Adhere to quality and patient safety standards, including medication administration protocols (BCMA)
- No floating required
- Blocked scheduling may be considered by unit manager
- Local candidates not accepted without unit manager approval
- Return-to-Office (RTO) restrictions require unit manager approval

Required Documentation and Compliance
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID (passport alone not accepted)
- Background checks including 7-year history, SSN trace, criminal and sex offender searches within 30 days of start
- Education verification (diploma or transcripts accepted if verification pending)
- Fingerprinting required (Arizona fingerprint card) for Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer specialty
- Completion of facility-specific job description form prior to start
- Security question form and travel information verification must be completed and signed before start
- Photo for badge required (clear headshot preferred)
- Radiation badge request form required for Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer
- Review and sign facility policies on confidentiality, substance abuse screening, and professional attire before start
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to perform essential job functions
- Fit mask (N95) test within 1 year, updated annually; onsite fit testing available if needed
- Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (preferred within last 10 years or declination)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
- Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
- Hepatitis B (positive titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or Tspot) within 1 year, updated annually; chest x-ray and TB questionnaire required for past positives
- Drug screening: 10-panel urine drug test within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination form required; mask-wearing mandatory if declined
- COVID vaccination series or signed declination form required
Competency Requirements
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (minimum 80% score)
- Core competencies (Parts I, II, III) updated annually (not required for non-clinical or lab tech roles)
- Color blindness test (100% passing score) required for all candidates starting 1/19/26
- Fall prevention competency exam required for RNs starting 9/8/25 (not applicable here)

- Two professional references required:
- One from most recent employer within 1 year
- One from within 2 years
- Employment application required with 3 years of work history; gaps over 30 days must be documented with city and state
