Description
Physical Therapist
Location: Danville, Illinois
Setting: Outpatient
Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday, variable hours
Hours: 40 per week
Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois
- Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- At least 1 year of Physical Therapist experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
Role Overview
- Evaluate and treat patients of all ages
- Develop and adjust plans of care based on patient response and evidence
- Perform examinations, screening, objective testing, and documentation
- Educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and other healthcare providers
- Communicate with referring providers regarding patient progress and treatment recommendations
- Use support personnel according to legal and ethical standards
Key Clinical Responsibilities
- Assist with patient transfers as needed
- Apply safe body mechanics
- Treat orthopedic and neurologic impairments
- Complete therapeutic modalities as appropriate, including ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis
- Apply tape for stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition of movement
- Complete daily documentation and charging in therapy EMR
