Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Aurora, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: PC2 Progressive Care (PCU)
- Number of Beds: 345
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:5 (varies by unit and shift)
- Staff: Float pool of about 80 staff members, including RNs and CNAs on day and night shifts
- EMR System: Meditech
- Patient Population: Large cardiac population, including telemetry floors and PCU
- Floating: Required to float to inpatient Med/Tele and Rehab units
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
- Telemetry experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong telemetry experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
- Chemotherapy certification (preferred, for potential scheduling on Oncology unit)
