Description
CT Tech - Radiology (Travel Position)
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Backfill position in a large hospital with 800 beds and a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and Level III neonatal intensive care unit.
- The CT unit is located on the 2nd floor, A tower.
- Equipment includes GE Optima, 3 GE EVO, GE Revolution, and Medrad Injectors.
- EMR systems used: Cerner Rad Net, Phillips PACs.
Unit Information
- Staff varies by shift:
- Day Shift: 5 technologists + supervisor
- Evening Shift: 4-5 technologists + radiology assistant
- Night Shift: 2-3 technologists + radiology assistant
- Typical procedures: neuro, musculoskeletal (MSK), body imaging, invasive CT, cardiac imaging, pediatric imaging.
- The unit supports trauma and stroke imaging in the emergency department.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year
- ARRT (R) Certification
- BLS certification
- Skills in invasive CT imaging
- Experience with emergency department (ED) trauma imaging
- Experience with stroke imaging
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GE equipment.
- Skills in invasive CT, cardiac imaging, and venipuncture.
Work Environment & Schedule
- Dress code: Black scrubs.
- Possible weekend shifts.
- Potential rotation to other shifts.
- On-call requirement: approximately 12 hours per month.
