CT Tech - Radiology (Travel Position)

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Backfill position in a large hospital with 800 beds and a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and Level III neonatal intensive care unit.
• The CT unit is located on the 2nd floor, A tower.
• Equipment includes GE Optima, 3 GE EVO, GE Revolution, and Medrad Injectors.
• EMR systems used: Cerner Rad Net, Phillips PACs.

Unit Information

• Staff varies by shift:

  • Day Shift: 5 technologists + supervisor
  • Evening Shift: 4-5 technologists + radiology assistant
  • Night Shift: 2-3 technologists + radiology assistant
• Typical procedures: neuro, musculoskeletal (MSK), body imaging, invasive CT, cardiac imaging, pediatric imaging.
• The unit supports trauma and stroke imaging in the emergency department.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year
• ARRT (R) Certification
• BLS certification
• Skills in invasive CT imaging
• Experience with emergency department (ED) trauma imaging
• Experience with stroke imaging

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GE equipment.
• Skills in invasive CT, cardiac imaging, and venipuncture.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Dress code: Black scrubs.
• Possible weekend shifts.
• Potential rotation to other shifts.
• On-call requirement: approximately 12 hours per month.
