Job Description
- Entry-level position working under supervision to develop competencies in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology.
- Provides specialized imaging services to adult and pediatric patients to assist in diagnosis, care, treatment, and monitoring of various conditions.
- Works in diverse care settings including inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, urgent care, and outreach clinics.
- Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician orders.
- Collaborates with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
- Operates specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures.
- Conducts post-procedure reviews to ensure quality and documentation standards are met.
- Transfers images and data to archival systems and prepares studies for physician reporting.
- Performs quality control, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment according to guidelines.
- Participates in continuing education and professional development to maintain competencies.
Work Schedule
- Overnight shifts Thursday through Saturday and every other Sunday night
- 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week
- Must have pediatric experience in a level 1 trauma facility
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with pediatric patients
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program in cardiovascular specialty
OR
Graduate of a JRCERT accredited program in radiologic technology specialty - CT Certification (ARRT) eligibility required; certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire
