Job Description

• Entry-level position working under supervision to develop competencies in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology.
• Provides specialized imaging services to adult and pediatric patients to assist in diagnosis, care, treatment, and monitoring of various conditions.
• Works in diverse care settings including inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, urgent care, and outreach clinics.
• Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician orders.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
• Operates specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures.
• Conducts post-procedure reviews to ensure quality and documentation standards are met.
• Transfers images and data to archival systems and prepares studies for physician reporting.
• Performs quality control, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment according to guidelines.
• Participates in continuing education and professional development to maintain competencies.

Work Schedule

• Overnight shifts Thursday through Saturday and every other Sunday night
• 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week
• Must have pediatric experience in a level 1 trauma facility

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with pediatric patients
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program in cardiovascular specialty
  OR
  Graduate of a JRCERT accredited program in radiologic technology specialty
• CT Certification (ARRT) eligibility required; certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire
