CT Tech - Radiology (Travel Position)

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (schedule to be discussed at interview)
Hours per Week: 36
Weekend Hours: None
Call Requirements: None


Job Description

  • Perform CT imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist, requiring independent judgment and initiative to obtain optimal image quality.
  • Responsible for all aspects of CT imaging, including anatomical positioning, physiology understanding, and technical factor adjustments.
  • Prioritize patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort throughout procedures.
  • Work primarily in an Emergency Department setting involving trauma, stroke, CT angiography (CTA), and perfusion imaging.
  • Use advanced equipment including GE Revolution (256 slices) and Siemens CT scanners.
  • Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system.

Required Qualifications

  • CT Technologist with 1 year of experience within the last year
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (RRA) certification
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification with CT specialty (ARRT CT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience with CTA and perfusion imaging preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Continual standing and walking during shifts.
  • Frequent patient handling and use of transfer equipment.
  • Fast-paced emergency department environment requiring quick decision-making.

Additional Information

  • Dress code requires black scrubs.
  • No weekend or call hours required.
  • No float requirements.

Patient Population

  • Emergency Department patients including trauma, stroke, and those requiring advanced CT imaging such as CTA and perfusion studies.

This position offers the opportunity to work with nationally recognized care teams and advanced imaging technology in a high-acuity emergency setting.
