Registered Nurse – Ortho/Neuro Unit Days

Contract (13 weeks)
Shift & Hours
- Days: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend and holiday required
- 12-hour shifts
Job Description
- Provide patient care using the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing standards, policies, and state laws.
- Document care according to standards.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education.
- Participate in unit or department performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support patient care continuity.
- Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating issues appropriately.
- May be required to float to other units.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience within the last year
- Experience in Orthopedics and Neurology nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
