Description
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours (includes 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks)
Call Requirements: None
Unit & Patient Information
- Department: Emergency Department
- Number of Beds: 22
- Patient Ratios:
- Pod patients: 4:1
- Critical patients: 2:1
- Fast track: 6:1
- Patient Population: Trauma, STEMI, psychiatric, cardiac, GI, stroke, pediatric, adult, and all acuity levels
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Required Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
- Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Trauma and pediatric emergency nursing experience
- Hardworking, resilient, team-oriented, and easy-going personality
Orientation & Scheduling
- Orientation provided bi-weekly
- No float or call requirements
Dress Code
- Scrubs allowed in any color or print
- Unacceptable attire includes non-scrubs, t-shirts, open-toe shoes, hoodies, and leggings
Additional Notes
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status
- No call requirements
- Patient care involves a diverse and acute patient population requiring strong emergency nursing skills
