Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health
Location
- Holyoke, Massachusetts

Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Night shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
- 36 hours per week guaranteed
- Every other weekend required
- No call responsibilities
- Float requirements apply (may work across different units)
Unit and Patient Population
- Behavioral Health unit with 104 beds across five units (adult, pediatric, geriatric)
- Patient ratios approximately 1:8 (lower ratios for pediatric and geriatric patients)
- Patient populations include adults, pediatrics (ages 5-17), and geriatrics
- Common diagnoses: schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, anxiety
Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation)
- Develop nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
- Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians, nursing supervisors/managers, and coworkers
- Participate in discharge planning
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing experience within the last year
- Experience in an inpatient Behavioral Health setting
- BLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

- Dress code: Blue scrubs
- Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
- Supervision by shift supervisors only
