Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Travel Position
Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit Type: ICU/CCU
- Number of Beds: 16
- Number of Staff: 60
- Patient Ratio: 1 RN to 2 patients
- Equipment Used: Cardiac monitors, ventilators, IV pumps, tube feed pumps
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with medical ICU and neuro patient populations
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
Typical Procedures Performed
- Intubations
- Central line placement
Work Environment & Culture
- Collaborative, team-oriented unit
- Day and night shifts staffed with 1 CNC/Charge RN, 8 RNs, and 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT) when census exceeds 14
- 12-hour shifts typically from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
