Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Surgery (Travel)

Unit & Patient Population
- Surgical Services, Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Adult patients
- Unit beds: 2
- Patient ratio: 1:1
Schedule
- Shift: Days, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Workweek: 4 shifts of 10 hours each
- On-call: 6-13 shifts per 4-week period, including weekends and holidays
- May float to main OR or vascular cases if no scheduled heart cases
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Skills & Experience
- Must have CVOR experience
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Preferred: 5+ years CVOR RN experience, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Equipment & Technology
- Experience with ECMO, Impella, Maze procedure, IABP
- EMR systems: Epic (required), Workday, Shiftwizard
Additional Information
- Dress code: Scrubs in ciel color; adherence to facility dress code policy
- Weekend and holiday on-call required
