Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Location: Michigan City, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Specialty: Emergency Department
- Shift: Mid-shift (3:00 PM – 3:30 AM)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Shifts: Every other weekend
- Call Requirements: None
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 32
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 standard; higher ratio for low acuity patients
- Patient Population: Medical, injured, and mental health patients across the lifespan
- Equipment: Level I fluid warmer
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Epic
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Additional Details
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs; follow facility dress code guidelines
- Onboarding: Completion of assigned education modules prior to first day required
- Reporting Location: Hospital South Entrance (parking details provided upon hire)
