Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU
Location: Ogden, Utah
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- ICU with 14 beds
- Staff: 26 total (Day shift: 1 CN, 4 RNs; Night shift: 1 CN, 4 RNs)
- Patient ratio generally 2:1
- Equipment includes ventilators, pumps, Swan-Ganz catheters, CRRT, chest tubes, occasionally balloon pumps and Impellas
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Utah
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with Hemodynamics, CRRT, ICP, EVD, ventilator management, monitoring, proning, thoracentesis, tracheostomy care, and Train-of-Four (TOF) monitoring
- Experience with Nitric Oxide therapy
- Experience with MEDITECH
Work Environment and Expectations
- Positive, proactive attitude and "go-getter" personality preferred
- Floating assignments may include Intermediate Care (IMC) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
- Weekend shifts: Every other weekend
- On-call duties may be required
