Description
Registered Nurse - Observation Unit
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing (Local)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for adult patients in an inpatient observation unit. Deliver care in accordance with professional nursing standards.

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Direct Observation Unit (DOU), with experience within the last year preferred.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Clinical competence in neuroscience and cardiac patient care relevant to the observation unit.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Specialty Experience
- Competence in patient care management, nursing theory, neuroscience, and cardiac care relevant to the observation unit.
Additional Information
- Care primarily for adult inpatient population.
- Adheres to ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice.
No prior travel experience required.
