    Job Opportunity: Outpatient Clinic Registered Nurse (RN)

    Location: Eureka, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract

    Job Description

    • Outpatient Neurology Clinic RN role (not inpatient bedside)
    • Day shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5 days a week, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week)
    • Responsibilities include managing infusion orders (~8/week), refills (~50/week), prior authorizations (15-20/week), patient calls and MyChart advice (~50/week), and office visits (15-20/week)
    • Use of MoCA (Montreal Cognitive Assessment) for cognitive screening
    • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system highly preferred
    • Prior experience in Neurology and Infusion highly preferred
    • Locals and first-time travelers accepted

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid RN license in California
    • Minimum 1 year of clinic experience, with clinic experience within the last year
    • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
    • Neurology experience
    • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
    • BLS - Basic Life Support certification issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
    • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
    • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure certification
    • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) proficiency

    Additional Requirements

    • Interview via Teams required before placement; provide 3 available interview times
    • No weekend or on-call requirements
    • No floating between units required
    • Must be comfortable with living in the Eureka area and housing costs
    • Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules required via LMS (Workramp)
    • EPIC training modules completion required as applicable
    • Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including SSN trace, education verification, and national sex offender registry
    • Photo for badge required (passport style with neutral background)

    Facility & Work Environment

    • Outpatient Neurology Clinic setting
    • Charting done in EPIC system
    • No inpatient bedside care

    Summary

    This is a travel contract RN position in an outpatient neurology clinic in Eureka, CA, requiring at least 1 year of RN experience, preferably with neurology and infusion experience.
