Registered Nurse (Urology Clinic) - North Dakota
Location
- City: Bismarck, North Dakota
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Unit/Department Details
- Urology Clinic with 6 clinic rooms and 4 procedure rooms
- Patient volume: 33-40 patients per day
- Staffing: 2 nurses, 1 Certified Surgical Technician (CST), 1 Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Work Schedule
- Day shift, Monday through Friday
- Shift times vary and rotate between: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
- No weekend or holiday work required (clinics closed on major holidays)
- No call or standby requirements
Job Responsibilities
- Set up sterile fields and assist in urology procedures
- Ability to place catheters
- Potential to float to other specialty clinics with similar duties
Common Patient Diagnoses
- Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)
- Hematuria
- Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
- Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS)
- Procedures such as cystoscopy and prostate biopsy
Required Certifications and Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
Orientation and Dress Code
- Unit-specific orientation includes procedure setup and takedown
- Scrubs allowed in any color
Additional Notes
- Must not have worked permanently or PRN at any related facility within the last 12 months
- Staff may rotate shifts within daytime hours
- Inpatient pharmacy operates 24/7 (though this is a clinic setting)
