Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Fullerton, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 19:00 - 7:30)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Provide expert Labor and Delivery nursing care with the ability to perform sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision.
• Must have experience with sterile vaginal exams and triage; these are hard stop requirements (candidates without these skills will not be considered).
• Must have experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Patient ratio typically 1:2.
• May be required to float to mother-baby units.
• Weekend work is required every other weekend, with the possibility of additional weekend shifts to meet unit needs.
• Scheduling requests due to additional employment will not be considered.
• Open to accommodating block schedules at manager discretion.
• Guaranteed hours with the possibility of one call-off per two-week pay period.
• Local radius for assignment is 50 miles.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with experience within the last year.
• Ability to perform sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, and NRP.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

• Acute Care Hospital with 320 staffed beds.
• Charting system: Meditech.
• Free parking available.
• Scrub color for RNs: Royal Blue; L&D/OR scrubs provided.

Additional Notes

• On-call is not required.
• Return-to-Office (RTO) restrictions must be included at time of submission.
