Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
Location
- City: Fullerton, California
Employment Type
- Travel / Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend, may exceed to meet unit needs
- Scheduling requests due to additional employment will not be considered
- Open to block scheduling at manager’s discretion
- Must be open to working weekends; likely to exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
Unit and Patient Care
- Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients
- Float requirement: May need to float between Labor & Delivery and Mother-Baby units
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1.5 years of Labor and Delivery experience, with experience within the last year
- Experience performing sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- AWHONN Advanced certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record system

- Facility type: Acute Care Hospital with 320 staffed beds
- Charting system: Meditech
- Free parking available
- Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
- On-call: Not required
This position is ideal for experienced Labor and Delivery RNs who meet the certification and skill requirements and are comfortable working night shifts with weekend coverage.
