Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Aurora, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: PC2 Progressive Care (PCU)
- Beds: 345
- Magnet Designation: 3-time recipient
- Staff: Float pool of about 80
- Shifts: Day and night shifts staffed by RNs and CNAs
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:5 (varies by unit and shift)
- Equipment: Various medical equipment used
- EMR System: Meditech
- Patient Population: Large cardiac population with 2 telemetry floors and PCU
- Floating: Required to float to inpatient Medical/Telemetry and Rehab units
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
- Acute care experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Meditech EMR experience
- Chemotherapy certification (to work on Oncology unit if needed)

- Vary between units, primarily focused on cardiac care and telemetry monitoring

- Candidates without the required acute care PCU experience and certifications will not be considered
