Registered Nurse - IMC (York, Pennsylvania)

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Unit: Intermediate Care (IMC)
  • Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:15 AM - 6:45 PM)
  • Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts with weekends every other week (EOW) and holidays as needed
  • Floating: May be asked to float to rehab if needed
  • Patient Population: May care for COVID-19 patients
  • Facility is tobacco and fragrance free

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
  • Minimum 2 years of Intermediate Care nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Compliance & Screening Requirements

  • Background Checks:
    • 7-year criminal background check required within 30 days of start, updated annually
    • Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search required within 1 year of start, must be finalized prior to start
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
    • PA FBI Fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
  • Child Abuse (Childline) Search: Must be completed 3 business days prior to start and renewed every 5 years
  • Education Verification: Highest level of education must be verified (degree, diploma, or transcripts)
  • References: Two professional references within 3 years required
  • Employment Application/Resume: Most recent required
  • Skills Checklist: Required annually

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical Exam: Required within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
  • Fit Mask Testing: Required within 1 year of start and updated annually; specific approved mask types required
  • Immunizations/Vaccines:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
    • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days; PPD not accepted
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccine doses or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative/equivocal
    • Hepatitis B: Positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) required, or declination form
    • Varicella: 2 vaccine doses or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative/equivocal
    • Seasonal Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season or valid medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted)
    • COVID-19 Vaccine: Required or valid medical/religious exemption/declination accepted
  • Drug Testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (required by agency, not facility)

  • Photo for badge: Clear, passport-style photo with light background required
  • Completion of facility-required documents including:
    • Medical Statement Non-Employee Ability to Work form
    • Commitment to Health & Wellness
    • Code of Conduct
    • Confidentiality Agreement
    • Non-Employee Affidavit
    • I9 Attestation and Documentation Attestation (completed by agency)
  • Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules on PC/laptop prior to start (not on cell phones)
  • New Hire Orientation: Must be completed by end of first day of orientation

  • Return to Office (RTO) policy: Maximum 7 days; no scheduling requests guaranteed
  • Candidate will undergo clinical screening and manager interview before final approval
