Description
Registered Nurse (L&D) - Travel Contract
Location: Hibbing, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts, rotating day and night (7a-7p; 7p-7a)
Hours per Week: 72 hours
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun shifts, days and nights)
Call Requirement: None
Holiday Schedule: Rotate with permanent staff
Scrubs: Provided
Job Details
- Work in Labor & Delivery (L&D) and Postpartum (PP) units with 4 private LDRP suites and 5 additional MedSurg rooms for overflow
- Approximately 30 births per month
- No NICU on site; unstaffed nursery only. Higher-level neonatal care requires transfer to a facility about 60 minutes away
- No C-section experience required; C-sections performed in OR, RN assists with recovery alongside PACU RN
- Floating to MedSurg possible only if experienced in MedSurg
- Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
- Electronic Medical Record system: Epic
Required Certifications & Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- STABLE certification preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination required
Additional Notes
- No prior travel experience explicitly required
- No call or overnight on-call duties
- Scrubs are provided on site
This position is ideal for an experienced L&D RN seeking a 13-week travel assignment with rotating shifts and weekend coverage in a hospital without a NICU but with a supportive team and clear protocols.
